About
Mona Zubi was born and raised in the suburbs of St. Louis to a Palestinian father and an Uzbek Mother, and recently moved to Chicago in 2017. Mona is pursuing a B.A. in Public Policy with a concentration in health policy. She's interested in the intersection of healthcare and politics and hopes to work towards making medical facilities and healthcare more accessible and equitable across the globe. While at UIC, Mona has been very active out of the classroom, and is a member of the Honor's College, Delta Phi Epsilon sorority and volunteers at the Rohingya Cultural Center. At the Arab American Cultural Center, Mona serves as the Outreach Coordinator, and engages with students and other cultural centers on campus. Mona hopes to help create a space on campus where students feel supported and part of a community.
