About
Omar Awadh is pursuing his Bachelors’ degree in Political Science and a minor in International Studies. He is a Yemeni student who has been living in the United States for over seven years and that has worked hard fueled by a strong determination to achieve his goals. He feels it is important to ensure youth particularly from the Arab region are able to dream and never give up on their dreams. Omar is a young activist on campus with Students for Justice in Palestine and off campus with Take on Hate Campaign, who continues to fight for the rights of Arab and other marginalized communities in the Chicagoland. He is a very compassionate person with a big welcoming heart. Omar initially volunteered with the Student taskforce last year before joining the staff of the ArabAmCC.
Omar worked at the Center Academic Year 2018-2019 and Fall 2019 and previously volunteered.
